President of MIDTEL, President of INOC Datacenters

Jim is 4th generation of his family to own and operate the 123 year-old Middleburgh Telephone Company (MIDTEL), and represents the 5th generation to work in the rural telecommunications business. He currently serves as MIDTEL’s President, as well as the President of Newport Telephone Company, which was acquired by MIDTEL in 2016.

Jim has had multiple duties and titles at MIDTEL since officially starting in 1993; leading MIDTEL’s entry into the Long Distance, Internet-Broadband, and Cable TV businesses. He has also led MIDTEL’s entry into the wireless Internet and fiber to the home businesses over the past 5 years.

In addition to his duties at MIDTEL, he is also the founder and President of Independent Network Operations Consortium, LLC ( INOC Datacenters).  INOC has two datacenters in the Albany, NY area that provide wholesale ISP services, internet backbone, and colocation/datacenter related services to ISP’s, CLEC’s, and a variety of different sized businesses throughout the Northeast region of the U.S.  Jim also serves as President of New York Access Billing, LLC, a national billing/clearinghouse company that serves the majority of major telecommunications carriers in the United States.

Jim is active in community economic development advancements, as well as real estate development. He is one of SEECs founding members and serves on various boards inside and outside of the telecommunications industry.
