SEEC Welcomes New Marketing Associate

The Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation (SEEC) is pleased to announce the hiring of a new associate, Sarah Bates. Sarah joined SEEC in early May as their full-time Marketing Coordinator to assist with the organization’s outreach, programming and coordination of ongoing, timely and meaningful communications with businesses and alliances.

SEEC is pleased with the progress it has made so far, but the pandemic commanded higher expectations moving forward. “To display our efforts fostering economic growth, we welcome insights and expertise of young professionals to assist shaping our future economy,” stated Julie Pacatte, SEEC Executive Director. “We are excited for Sarah to join us; she brings a diverse skill set and passion for success.”

“I am excited to contribute to our community and apply my knowledge to continue to develop the economy here in Schoharie County,” added Ms. Bates, SEEC Associate.

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Cobleskill and is pursuing her graduate studies starting this fall at Rochester Institute of Technology where she will focus in Sustainable Business Management.

Ms. Bates began in her role just in time to help plan and promote Economic Development Week, a nation wide effort from May 9-15.The International Economic Development Council launched the annual promotional campaign in 2016 to “increase awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve communities’ quality of life everywhere.”

SEEC’s new Marketing Associate has devised a weeklong campaign that will feature local alliances working within economic development, post online showcase of special projects launching SEEC Instagram platform and invite local enterprises to share “points of light.” During Economic Development Week, businesses will be asked to tout a special initiative or activity in which the leadership is proud to announce for 2021.
